Marius Carlucci With over 8 years of experience in the luxury fashion world, Marius Carlucci joins the SF Philanthropist team to bring our Community the latest in Fashion and Shopping with a Philanthropic twist Born in Italy, Marius Carlucci moved to San Francisco 10 years ago after receiving an undergraduate degree in History from the University of Bologna, Italy, and completing post-graduate work on the Festus Lexicon Project in London and UC Berkeley. While in London, Marius started his fashion journey by gaining work experience at Rei Kawakubo’s Japanese fashion label Comme des Garçons. He then moved to San Francisco and carried on his love for fashion as the General Manager of one of the world's most renowned and oldest fashion houses Christian Dior. In July 2008, Marius was solicited by Prada to open and run the Italian fashion house’s 11th U.S location and much anticipated 5,650 square-foot luxury retail store in Union Square. At the end of 2010, Marius joined the Yves Saint Laurent team to open two of the fashion house's main U.S stores in Las Vegas and New York. Marius’s impeccable fashion flare made him the to-go-to person to find that perfect look, helping many celebrities including Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, Academy Awards’ best actress nominee Carey Mulligan and many of San Francisco Bay Area’s leading men and women. |
